Primary Outcome
The main result measured to determine the effect of an intervention in a study.
Drug Approval

Principal Investigator (PI)

An adverse event that results in death, hospitalization, or significant disability.

Investigator
The researcher conducting and overseeing the clinical trial at a specific site.
Placebo Effect
A phenomenon where a participant experiences a perceived improvement in symptoms due to their belief in the treatment.
